Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) is a biosecurity concern with major economic impacts for Canadian beef production and other cloven-hoofed animals worldwide. Fortunately, Canada has achieved FMD-free status, but everyone must stay vigilant to the risks and to know the signs of Foot and Mouth Disease in livestock.
