Lallemand Animal Nutrition announces expanded field support for its North American team to better support customers across the United States, Canada, Mexico and Central America.
“We are excited to have these highly qualified individuals on board to help support our current customers, along with aiding in our continual growth,” says Jeff Ast, Commercial Director, Lallemand Animal Nutrition, North and South America. “We continue to look for ways to add key personnel to support our Explorer program, part of Lallemand Forward, designed to provide producers with key performance indicators to help identify areas of success, find opportunities for improvement and plot a course toward greater profitability. I am confident our customers will see the results that come from combining excellent products with top-notch people.”
Michayla (Mich) Davidson
Davidson joins as a Field Support Specialist for customers in the western United States, focused in the Pacific Northwest. In her role, Davidson will visit farms and conduct cow-side and forage audits with the Lallemand Forward Explorer program to help producers develop, benchmark and continue to improve productivity. Davidson recently graduated from California Polytechnic State University in June and assisted with dairy research, where she conducted experiments on acidification in the transition cow diet and milk fever. Davidson was a member of the Cal Poly Dairy Cattle Judging team and is an American Dairy Science Association member.
Paige Spowart, MS
Spowart also joins as a Field Support Specialist for customers in the western United States, specifically focusing her efforts in Texas. Spowart also will be visiting farms and feedyards becoming an expert on Explorer and providing support to nutritionists, producers and territory business managers in the region. She recently received her master’s degree in animal science from West Texas A&M University where she worked as a graduate research assistant. Spowart received the Kilgore Research Grant, which funded her research into validation of digestibility markers used in beef feedyard diets. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University and assisted with the college’s feedyard research.
Kevin Falk
Falk’s joins as the Documentation and Quality Assurance Coordinator for Lallemand Animal Nutrition. He recently served as the quality assurance specialist for an Illinois-based company where he managed supplier product and facility approvals through review of HACCP plans, GFSI audits, food safety plans and third-party testing reports. Falk’s role at Lallemand Animal Nutrition will be managing product and quality assurance documentation for all North and Central American feed additives and inoculants to ensure products and suppliers meet the company’s high standards.
Gerardo Escamilla, DVM
Escamilla brings more than 30 years of industry experience to his new role as Monogastric Manager – Mexico and Central America. He has a doctorate in veterinary medicine from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). Escamilla has worked for the Salvi Group, Chinoin Labs, Pfizer Animal Health and Elanco Animal Health. As a manager at Lallemand Animal Nutrition, he will help producers improve their production potential to ensure both regions can meet the growing demand for protein.
