Zoetis has announced an expanded label approval from the Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Veterinary Medicine (CVM) for two of its growth implants—Synovex® Primer™ and Synovex Choice®—to enhance weight gain in growing beef steers and heifers on pasture.
Cattle producers aiming to optimize weight gain during the grazing season can benefit from growth implants, which typically increase cattle weight by 15-40 pounds. This gain translates to an additional $38 to $101 per head in current cattle markets, offering significant financial advantages.
The expanded label approval provides stocker producers with more options and flexibility to achieve efficient weight gains in pasture-based operations. Growth promotion products like Synovex Primer and Synovex Choice are designed to help cattle gain muscle mass more efficiently, supporting the profitability of grazing systems.
For more details on how these implants can fit into your operation, consult your Zoetis sales representative or visit Synovex.com. Be sure to review individual labels for complete usage directions, precautions, and warnings. Reimplantation should be conducted only as specified in the product labeling.
