The Canadian Cattle Young Leaders (CYL) program has announced its semi-finalists for the 2025–2026 year, marking another step in cultivating the next generation of leadership within Canada’s beef industry.

Founded by the Canadian Cattle Association in 2010, the CYL program is designed for youth ages 18 to 35 involved in all sectors of the beef supply chain. Participants gain access to a year-long mentorship experience focused on leadership development, industry engagement, and career growth.

This year’s semi-finalists were selected from a strong field of written applications submitted by young professionals across the country. They will advance to the annual Selections Competition in September, where they will take part in judged roundtable discussions on key beef industry issues. Finalists chosen from the event will secure a place in the 2025–2026 mentorship cohort.
