Three Promoted at Lallemand Animal Nutrition, North America


Lallemand Animal Nutrition announces the promotion of three employees in the North American product management and marketing teams.

“As the Lallemand Animal Nutrition business continues to expand, we are fortunate to have these talented individuals who can grow into new positions as the business demands,” says Jeff Ast, Commercial Director, Lallemand Animal Nutrition, North and South America. “We’re excited to see how Kip, Erin and Lauren grow in their new roles while continuing to strengthen our commitment to Lallemand customers, providing profitable solutions to the animal agriculture industry.”

Kip Karges, Ph.D.

Karges will now be Ruminant Feed Additives Product Manager. He joined the Lallemand team in 2019, working as a member of the Technical Services – Ruminant team, focused on supporting customers in the field with his technical expertise in beef cattle feed additives. In his new role, he will lead pricing and product positioning for the ruminant feed additives portfolio and guide and position brands such as LEVUCELL® SC, which is a naturally occurring, rumen-specific active dry yeast that has been selected to help optimize rumen function. Karges is uniquely suited to support these brands as a multi-species nutritionist with more than 25 years of experience in technical and commercial management of feed additive products.


Erin Carter, PAS

Carter will serve as Senior Brand Communications Lead – Ruminant and Equine Feed Additives. She has spent 11 years at Lallemand Animal Nutrition, most recently as a Marketing Communication Specialist for ruminant and equine feed additives. Carter will now oversee all North American corporate communications and the company’s portfolio of ruminant feed additives, including MICRO-CELL® products, which help cattle improve feed efficiency, performance and enhance food safety. Carter will further lead the development and implementation of annual brand marketing budgets, communication strategy and manage timelines, decision points and stakeholder alignment with ruminant products manager. Carter will continue to lead the Lallemand Forward Marketing Communications internship program, agricultural agency and external contractor relationships.

Lauren Kasten

Kasten is now Brand Communications Lead – Forage Additives. She will work closely with the forage products manager to develop and implement the annual marketing budgets, communication strategy and manage timelines, decision points and stakeholder alignment for the forage inoculant portfolio. Kasten, who has been with Lallemand for five years, will also continue to support Lallemand Animal Nutrition’s silage safety program, lead the Lallemand Forward scholarship committee, the bi-annual Silage for Beef Cattle Conference and support monogastric, aquaculture and pet marketing needs.
